Grow with us
Welcome to Diamond Valley Community Gardens! We’re thrilled to offer you two fantastic locations for our gardening beds—70 at our Black Diamond site and 40 at our Turner Valley site.
These vibrant spaces are perfect for nurturing a delightful array of fresh produce or beautiful flowers, all while building a wonderful sense of community.
Join us on the first Saturday of each month from January to June for our popular "Garden Talks". Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just beginning, these free sessions are packed with hands-on experience and invaluable knowledge on a variety of gardening topics, and everyone in the community is invited!
In the "Join Us" section below, you can download our community guidelines, registration package and map of both the Turner Valley and Black Diamond sites. There you will discover pricing, layout of garden beds, community events, and contact information. We are looking forward to gardening with you this year! Please also subscribe to our newsletter for any information you need throughout the season. Click here to subscribe now.
Rooted in community
The Diamond Valley Community gardens are run entirely by our gardeners who volunteer to make this project work as smoothly as possible. As well as looking after our own beds and surroundings, all members are invited to participate in getting to know our neighbours, learning more about gardening and sharing the bounty of our crops among ourselves and with the Oilfields Food Bank.
By renting a bed, a commitment to the gardens' maintenance is expected. Gardeners will choose an assignment that aligns with their own talents and abilities. The tasks are broken down to support everyone's needs.
Spring garden preparation and fall cleanup are collective annual events that take place each season and are weather dependent.
Please subscribe to our newsletter that will be sent out with important dates and events throughout the season.
